About ABC Head Start Society

We are a children’s charity providing family services and early learning programs that inspire brighter futures.

02

At Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre, we recognize the parent as the expert of their family's well-being. Our programs and services draw from families' strengths to support optimal child development. You are your child's first teacher and we are here to support you!

The goals of CASA Mental Health’s programs and services are:

  • To offer accessible, effective services to Albertan children and families.

  • To promote knowledge and skill around children’s mental health.

  •

We offer a wide range of treatment programs, as well as education and consultation services. All of our programs are evidence-based and trauma-informed, and incorporate the family and community into treatment.

Program teams may include childcare counsellors, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, addictions counsellors, occupational therapists or other health professionals. Several programs are operated in partnership with other agencies.

CASA Mental Health is funded by Alberta Health Services, the Government of Alberta Ministry of Mental Health and Addiction, and other government partners. Services are always free of charge to families.

PANDA CUB HOUSE LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We humbly acknowledge that we are settlers here on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and traveling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit, whose footsteps, culture, knowledge and history have marked these lands for centuries. This is the land that we inhabit, we are only here because of Treaty. We are all treaty people.

We are non-Indigenous people whom are grateful to live, work, learn and play here in Treaty 6 territory and acknowledge that we are a visitor on this land. In response to the TRC and in the spirit of genuine reconciliation, we are committed to understanding the effects of colonization, our role in it, and how we can be a better ally and apprentice, and to uplift the voices of Indigenous people.
