MEET TEACHER JESSICA

Teacher Jessica is a calm, thoughtful, and steady presence within our learning environment. Known for her quiet confidence, patience, and peaceful demeanor, she supports children with care, consistency, and intention—creating a sense of safety and emotional security in the classroom.

She is currently attending Red Deer Polytechnic, where she is completing her Early Childhood Education Level 2 and Level 3. Teacher Jessica actively bridges theory and practice by thoughtfully applying concepts from her coursework into her daily reflective practice. She approaches learning with humility and purpose, continually observing, reflecting, and refining her interactions to better support children’s development.

Teacher Jessica’s ability to remain composed, attentive, and present allows children to feel seen, supported, and understood. PANDA CUB HOUSE LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We humbly acknowledge that we are settlers here on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and traveling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit, whose footsteps, culture, knowledge and history have marked these lands for centuries. This is the land that we inhabit, we are only here because of Treaty. We are all treaty people.

We are non-Indigenous people whom are grateful to live, work, learn and play here in Treaty 6 territory and acknowledge that we are a visitor on this land. In response to the TRC and in the spirit of genuine reconciliation, we are committed to understanding the effects of colonization, our role in it, and how we can be a better ally and apprentice, and to uplift the voices of Indigenous people.
