MEET TEACHER PRIYANKA

Teacher Priyanka is resourceful, flexible, open-minded, non-judgmental, approachable, and a team player. She always goes above and beyond to help her colleagues - she’s just so admirable honestly. She fills in the gap and when she sees that one of her teammates is having a hard time, she makes sure to go in and help whenever and wherever she’s needed. She’s a problem-solver and a solution-finder. She makes everything seem so easy because she gets things done immediately. She’s easy to talk to about anything because of her flexibility, approachability, and positive attitude and outlook in life. She always welcomes and greets everyone with the most radiant and beautiful smile. When she’s with the kids, she’s highly observant so she’s always ready with anything and everything that the children might need. She has insight and foresight and she knows exactly what she needs to do with the children without having to be told what to do because she prioritizes the children’s needs and feelings above all else and she caters to them. She’s a very warm and attentive educator towards the children in her care. Thank you for your service, Teacher Priyanka!

PANDA CUB HOUSE LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We humbly acknowledge that we are settlers here on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and traveling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit, whose footsteps, culture, knowledge and history have marked these lands for centuries. This is the land that we inhabit, we are only here because of Treaty. We are all treaty people.

We are non-Indigenous people whom are grateful to live, work, learn and play here in Treaty 6 territory and acknowledge that we are a visitor on this land. In response to the TRC and in the spirit of genuine reconciliation, we are committed to understanding the effects of colonization, our role in it, and how we can be a better ally and apprentice, and to uplift the voices of Indigenous people.
